Radio Trailer

Radio Trailer

A radio trailer has no images so has to contain lots of audio information. The radio trailer for gravity has audio from the film itself, giving the audience a good idea of what happens within the film as they can hear conversations and tone of voice from the characters. It also means that they could recognise actor's voices and want to go and see the film because of a specific actor. It also has sound effects as these can create a different atmosphere and give the trailer excitement. It also gives hints of what will happen in the film, the setting and the trials and tribulations that the main characters will have to face.

The most important thing in the trailer though is the voice over. The trailer for gravity has a voice over which states the director of the film, giving the film a higher profile as it is possible that people will have seen other films by the same director and be more likely to go and see it. There is also the title of the film and the release date, giving the audience information that they need to go and see the film so they have information and know where and when they can view the film. As the radio advert is just a small idea of the film, the audience will need to contact their local cinema to see if and when the film is showing, but the radio trailer is a general idea of what is happening in the film and when it will be shown. The dialogue from the film helpes to set the scene and makes the audience understand what happens in the film, gicing them a vague idea of the story line.
